In Angela Kochuba's Twitter feed, I found a reference to excellent advice on how to improve your decision making, written by Walter Frick. The title is 3 Ways to Improve Your Decision Making. I actually fell for the message already at "Rule #1: Be less certain." That made me certain that it would be a good decision to read the article...

The blog posts of Rebecca Elvy are always a pleasure to read - more often than not, I end up being inspired to write something on my own after having read Rebecca's posts. Her recent post on Patreon, To reap... or to sow? is a very good example. It certainly sent me off thinking about when to reap and when to sow, metaphorically speaking.

As people who have been reading more posts on this blog, I am very well aware that procrastination is a mighty adversary, which we should do our best to fight - even though it seems to have an easy game to play against us, if we are not constantly vigilant. I was inspired by finding a post about a cool two part rule that can help beat procrastination and get things done: Joanie Faletto's The 2-Minute Rule Can Help You Beat Procrastination and Get Things Done, which might just be able to help.

In the article Go Ahead, Try Being Inauthentic, John Cregier tells us that whatever we do, we must accept that in every moment, with every action, we can only be ourselves. You should not judge yourself, you should rather accept the actions you do not like as opportunities to learn to know yourself better. I personally know that it is different - but I continue to strive to follow the advice.

I am terrible at multitasking. And up until now, I have felt bad about it. But then I read Adam Cairns' Why Multitasking Is Bad For You (And What To Do About It). Now, I do not feel so bad about it anymore. And what's more - I actually also got some tips on what to do, when the urge to multitask overwhelms me. Because it does, even though I am terrible at it.

This day, it was Janice Kobelsky's Twitter feed that inspired me to read what David M. Dye writes about One Awful (but Common) Leadership Practice and What To Do Instead. And I totally agree: Stop discouraging your team to tell you about problems without bringing a solution at the same time. On the contrary: you want to hear about the problems. Especially those which are difficult to solve.

Originally, I hated doing presentations, and I was bad at doing it. I have become more comfortable doing it, but my skills still need all the help they can get. I enjoyed reading Felicity H. Barber's 11 Small Ways You Can Make an OK Presentation More Impressive. Now I just need to become better getting to the stage of "an OK presentation".
Once again, a week has passed. Once again, I hope the above has been able to inspire you in your reading, and - once again - I certainly hope you stay tuned for seven new things next week.
